Terms & Conditions

DDA Code of Conduct:

At Danni’s Dance Academy we believe that all of our dancers should train in a positive and safe environment.

This policy is for all members of DDA to follow if a parent or a dancer. As a parent we expect you to encourage your child in a positive attitude towards dance.

Unacceptable Behaviour/Bullying.

DDA states that any unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated, either within the dance school or at any events/performances. Unacceptable behaviour may result in the dancers exclusion from the school. Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated by parents/carers or any other family members and could result in family members being banned from events/performances. A dancers/parents conduct may come under question and if this continues after being spoken to on more than two occasions then on the third time an exclusion will occur.

Bullying is not acceptable from anyone within the dance school. Action will be taken immediately. Depending on the situation depends on what action is taken.

Class Etiquette.

We expect dancers to:

-Arrive on time.

-Wear appropriate footwear/dancewear and DDA t-shirts with hair tied up.

-Well mannered and polite.

-Positive attitude and come to class willing to learn.

Attendance.

Competition teams need good attendance to be good. We advise you give us a lot of notice if your child cant make a certain date or certain event, otherwise we will presume that they are attending.

If you can’t attend the four weeks before a competition we will pull the dancer out beforehand unless a valid reason is discussed with Head Coach Danni.

Payments.

Saturday Crew Fees must be paid termly, other dance fees can be paid as you go. All Saturday termly payments must be paid in the first two weeks of the term. Payments need to be made before the class starts whether that is my cash, cheque or BACS. If payments aren't made by the deadline date including competition ticket money we will charge a late fee of £5.00. Beyond three weeks your child will not be permitted to attend the class until full payment is made.

Waiting Areas.

All people using the waiting areas, such as outside the studios/cafe building and around the building, need to show respect to all other members of the school. Please ensure that your conversations are child friendly and no student should ever hear bad language or swearing. You are representing the school even if you aren't wearing a DDA t-shirt.

Competitions and Competition Results.

Competitions are a way of recording our progress and achievements through out the year. All we ask as coaches is to do your best and enjoy it. Results are down to the coaches to discuss with the teams.

We do not judge, criticise any results, good or bad, so we ask as parents you also do the same. It’s no ones job but ours to discuss results and if you would like to ask a question on results your welcome to ask us personally.

Progression of the individual dancers and dancers as a team is what we focus on to become better throughout the year.

Group Chats and Social Media.

Group chats are a perfect way to get information out to teams/parents of a certain team. This is all they should be used for.

If you have a personal question or want to speak to a coach personally please message that coach or arrange a time to meet them if wanting to discuss something.
